FRIDAY ACTOR TRAINING & PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP

Then come discover the Friday Actor Training & Performance Workshop, which is held on Friday evenings  20h-22h  in the 1st arrondissement.

Open to native speakers and non-native speakers with a good level of fluency.  The workshop focuses on a selection of scenes, texts and adaptations in English.  The participants will learn actor training methods and explore the theatrical and creative possibilities working towards a creation and production at the end of the year. 12th October at 7 pm.  “Daughter of Gaia – The 7 Lives of a Celtic Goddess Told Through Storytelling and Song.” Performed in English by Chloé Dunn.  Théâtre de Nesle 8 rue de Nesle 75006.

Until 13th October “Macbeth” by Shakespeare.  Performed in French.  Directed by Laurent Pelly.  Théâtre Nanterre Amandiers link.  7, avenue Pablo Picasso 92022 Nanterre.  For evening performances, there is a navette from the RER directly to the theatre before and after the show.

15th to 19th October.  “Othello (Bye Bye)” by the Dood Paard Company.  Performed in English with French subtitles.  Théâtre de la Bastille link   Theatre de la Bastille 75, rue de la Roquette 75011. Metro Bastille.  An original adaptation and creation based on Shakespeare’s “Othello”.

29th October at 7 pm.  “A Heartless Man”  Written and performed in English by painter comédien Bill Griffin.  He worked in London during the 1960s where he befriended George Dyer, the troubled lover, of the self- obsessed monster that was the artist Francis Bacon. With a unique insider knowledge he now questions many of the myths surrounding their vola- tile and tragic relationship.  Théâtre de Nesle 8, rue de Nesle 75006 Paris.
